I waited to buy this, initially, because it was first person only (apart from the driving bits) and I'm not a massive fan of first person, that's the only reason I didn't get it in release. I'm glad I didn't due to all the complaints of bugs and game breaking glitches. Now, 6 months or so after release and needing a new game to play, and after reading that patch 1.23 had largely fixed the major problems, I took a punt and boy am I glad I did. I adore this game, I'm not very far into it but so far I think it's brilliant, there's so much to do, countless missions, jobs and gigs that keep getting added to my to-do list and the main story so far has me completely engaged. I'm playing on a ps4 pro and while there are still some issues such as slowdown, small pauses while scenery and textures load in etc, they're not bad enough to distract me from the experience. I'm even enjoying the first person perspective finally, so it might well be the game that opens the door to all the other first person games I've not bothered with before.
