I loved it because it’s different, funny , and relatable. If you are expecting a version of the original, watch the movie again. They have great chemistry and they are also so far away from perfect that it makes their partnership funny in a (if I was a spy that would happens to me) kind of way. And unlike the movie, the ending really leaves you on a cliff hanger. I think people expected the same “vibes” as Glover’s well acclaimed show Atlanta. It’s a very different artistry but it hold to the standards of his creativity and their respectable performances. Leave your expectations behind and watch it with new eyes and you will see what the critics see. It is great, the script is funny, intelligent, and different. The characters are a great fit, they make you feel so relatable that you could even see yourself being recruited by The Company. I hope we get to see a 2nd season, but if not… its still ended exactly how it should have been.
