Not loving their take on Leif Erickson. These are the stories my mother told me as a child and the first Vikings lined up better with her stories. This new series I'm not feeling. I don't even know this Leif Erickson. I also do not appreciate their misrepresentation of paganism. It is 100% offensively biased. They completely misrepresent Pagans to such an extent that it is not surprising if they get much blowback, even legally. Also, totally preoccupied with shock violence that is no longer shocking. STORY matters. You cannot compensate for quality characters and a solid plot with an overload of graphic violence. When will American filmmakers stop short cutting quality for cheap theatrics and gore? It gets desensitizing after the first episode and then it's literally like cartoons were they repeat the same scenes. It's all CGI - what about plot and story and character development? American film depends too much on CGI. It looks fake!! DUH!! It was great episode 1 but after 8 episodes? Come on. It's the same every episode. Twenty minutes of every episode is wasted with derivative and redundant CGI 'battles.' YAWN. I am so desensitized to rolling heads and blood squirts. Norse? More like Snores!
But to all those complaining about Black Vikings, you're flaunting ignorance. That is one area that is accurate. They were merchants. Google what that means if you do not understand. Google maps of the Viking trade roots and learn before flaunting your err---- racist inclinations and ignorance. (We can see who slept through class) Grow the f--- up. I cannot understand how racist people live with their own stupidity. Google images of Indigenous Europeans like Sami or Komi. They are not all flipping "Frozen" style Barbie blonds with blue eyes. Migration waves, trade routes, and sea navigation have been the constants in human civilization. Racists are dummies.
