A favorite of mine. The first of the special effects movies where violent scenes are made more life-like as bullets seem to explode from the bodies. Unlike many of those that follow, the violence here is reasonably related to the themes of the story: violence as a way of life for this group is passing and they seem to get it, choosing to exit life with their integrity and principles governing their decisions. I've watched it several times and will watch it a few more intending to remind myself that there are some ideals worth dieing for. 11/27/2018
