Overall, very well adaption/remake of Forrest Gump. Does complete justice as the remake. Worth watching. Strongly recommend to watch.
In details,
1. The work and effort Amir Khan has put into this role. Unlike other Bollywood stars specially Akshay Kumar, he has put efforts and time to give original and real appearances rather than fake looks as in Kesri.
2. Being a sikh character, it was important to touch sensitive events taken place and this movie has covered those topics as completely unbiased way without tempering the facts and without taking sides. Only the impact on a normal Sikh family during those events has been shown. This is a really good way to present such sensitive issues.
3. The changes in story which are made as compared to original Forrest Gump are very thoughtful and logical. This could have been a disastrous if those different storylines won’t have matched properly.
4. All original song tracks is another big thing in Bollywood these days. Unlike other movies, they went for original tracks rather than remixes of old punjabi hits.
5. The little details which are taken care of is appreciable. For example, during wedding of Lal and Rupa, how they take of “Kalgi” is a very well detailed research. Without research this would be surely missed.
Finally, Amir’s has done great job in acting. There were anticipations that he would look and feel more like his character from PK but NO. During the whole movie, you will surely feel like you are witnessing a different character “Lal Singh Chaddha” not the same PK.
I strongly recommend to go and watch this movie.
Boycott call is completely stupid and senseless. And if you still believe in that hatred messages then you do not even deserve to watch such good content. Better go watch Lapdog news media.
