Sony needs to just give all their marvel character rights back to marvel and let them do their thing. Sony tried to tack onto the marvel universe and quite frankly failed.
Very disappointed in this movie.
No substance, no character building, no time for Morbius to actually settle into the living vampire.
Spoiler alert: the whole best friend switch to deadly enemy just didn’t make enough sense and went too fast. The characters just went through the motions way too fast. Why did morbius not take the time to reason and talk it out. Morbius after killing innocents condemned his best friend for doing the same thing but showed no remorse for doing it himself. Why did his best friend immediately just start trying to kill morbius. As best friends, they shared too much history and showed that and this switch to mortal enemies was pathetic. They both just went straight to attack and quite frankly, it wasn’t done well at all.
Why didn’t the gang who were printing money come back with more people to get their hideout and equipment back. Again, this who aspect was glossed over way too quickly and was poorly done. Who knew breaking someone’s hand was scary enough to run off multiple people and be left in complete peace. He needed to be scarier and more forceful to actually make this scene make any sense as well.
This movie is a simple money grab and quite frankly, the marvel universe would be better off without it.
The writers had plenty of opportunity to inject some decent humour but they glossed over funny bits too fast as well.
Yes there was action but it was mindless. Yes there was limited suspense but the entire movie was completely predictable.
Sony, leave Marvel to do Marvel.
