I have been a British theatre professional for 65 years including years of training hundred of actors from Jane Seymour to Hugh Jackman in Britain, America and Australia. This is my first experience of a Korean TV series and I am blown away by the 5 Star standard of all elements of the production. Naturally, it took a while to get used to the subtitles and language as it takes away somewhat from enjoying the actor's journey. However, I was totally absorbed by the intense nature of the story which suited the morals and culture of my limited knowledge of Asia. The range of emotions were perfectly observed leading to many fine and moving moments from the very fine cast. I would love to direct them in a Shakespeare play as I feel they would bring a special intensity to the text that would reveal fresh interpretations for the audience. Bravo to all involved and thank you for such an inspiring experience.
