Some are calling it their best since Some Girls. Others say it's their best since Tattoo You. I don't know about any of that. Personally It reminds me a bit of both Bridges to Babylon and A Bigger Bang with better production. It pretty much sticks to the formula they've been following since the later half of the 80's. A couple rockers a couple funkier tracks, a couple blusier tracks, a country track, A Kieth Richards solo track. I'd say the stand out song here and what this album will be most remembered for is Sweet Sounds of Heaven which Is destined for classic Stones status. Considering the very real possibility that this may be their final album The stones are very much rolling and in top form.
