I have been an avid fan of kingdom hearts and have played the games since I was little. I never write review but I feel compelled to write this one. This was genuinely the most disappointing game I’ve played in the last 15 years. There were new mechanics that were fun, but it seems like they tried to make it flashy to hide how bad the game was. There wasn’t too much to it and the entire game felt formulated. It basically just felt like you would fight for 3 hours to get to a cut scene that would be 30 seconds long and then fight again to get to another 30 second cutscene. The game was just really boring and dull compared to the previous ones and it felt like the fighting of the heartless became routine and boring. It just didn’t feel like the combat was blended in with the story very well. It was a weak game and a huge waste of time. If I wanted to enjoy the story again, I’d just watch a cutscene compilation on YouTube to avoid the awful feeling of playing.
