Having not played the game, I cannot speak to how accurately characters were presented or developed. If they're not from the game directly, then this is the most infuriating, made for teenagers show ever. The characters are aweful. A military who's top leaders are at best inept, if not scumbag criminal liars. Civilian officials who are disgustingly narcissistic and evil. The "good guy" soldiers who break rules over and over and are never really punished. They're lied to and never fail to keep coming back for more lies. The series made want to throw remote at the screen.

While overall combat is fun and once you get some cash built up, finding new cool mechs is entertaning, the game has the most unforgivably bad AI ever. Prepare to take just as much damage from your teammates as you do the enemy. They also seem to go out of the way to destroy buildings that you are tasked with protecting. I can't believe they shipped this product with that AI.
