I'm a little baffled by the large quantity of negative reviews its a pretty standard star wars show. Not as good as Andor but that's like saying its not as good as Shakespeare. I'm still enjoying it a lot more than Ahsoka, Boba Fett, or Obi wan because its telling an original story with original characters and themes and not relying on nostalgia bait. It's also confusing to me why people keep calling it "woke." I don't know that there's really any progressive politics in the show itself. Andor was arguably much more woke with its strong indictments of tough-on-crime practices and policing and criminal justice abuses in the show that resemble the real world. So it seems like people are kind of just objecting to the fact that the Acolyte doesn't have many characters that are white/male. Idk its pretty good. Excellent fight scenes too.
