Completely agree with the comments by Jeremy Clarkson and the article in the Guardian about this revamp. From being one of the few remaining BBC shows I tuned into it is now unwatchable for me.
In general I think the license fee model has had its day and the BBC needs to be set free to move forward without it. My teenage children don't even think of the BBC as a thing. Is it realistic that their generation and those to follow will be prepared to buy a licence fee in future for a product they don't consume? It's sad because the BBC has been great and an important part of many of our lives but the way we consume media has changed and it is time for the BBC to learn to survive on its own.
