Liked the leads; only reason I watched the whole thing was seeing them together. If you loved the book, the arbitrary huge changes made to the story will range from mildly annoying to absolutely infuriating. The ending was an unconscionable cutesy, unfunny, Hollywood musical ending to a tragic, serious book. What we’re they thinking??? If you hadn’t read the book, I imagine you’d be completely confused about whether, when,& how Henry met his fate. They apparently thought they’d get more viewers repeatedly showing Theo James’s admirable butt than showing how his & Clare’s future unfolded. Calling their relationship “grooming,” a serious, dangerous form of child abuse,would stop many viewers dead in their tracks, as it did the reviewer in the SF Chronicle. Awful
