The episodes drag on and on. The cinematography is actually good. The writing is awful. And what’s worse is that it is supposed to be candid and un-scripted. Instead, you get a series of cliché exchanges and dialogue. For example, in episode one, while searching a storage unit three weeks into the investigation (that they’ve know about since day two), they discover rolled up carpet, an ice chest that smells like bleach, and a shovel. Detective: “These items could have been used for something bad.” This was about 30 minutes into the episode and 15 minutes after I was actually over it.
