My fiance and I watched Season 1 in one sitting last Friday. It was that good. The acting was impeccable. The cinematography was impeccable. The writing - brilliant. Literally every aspect of this series was done brilliantly. For those trying to say that the series pits blacks against whites - you lie. Reality then, is reality now. It's not blacks vs. whites; it's blacks vs. racists. I suspect those that are giving it low ratings are doing so from their high (and pathetic) perch of racism. It may be uncomfortable for those folks to watch the perversion, terrorism, and human cruelty that this nation has exacted on black human beings, but their story is the most compelling story of ALLLLLL of the stories America has to tell. Not "uncomfortable" because of the acts committed against blacks, but "uncomfortable" in the telling of the stories. This is a 5 star series - flat out.
