I lived briefly on the North Shore of Oahu....and the views from Koolau Mountain is stunning.....I also worked with Maoris when I worked with a UN linguistic program at the University of Hawaii.....so I have a SMALL view of the Samoan culture...and always APPRECIATE the broader view that Taika gives us all. I never heard of this event......but was immediately embraced by the players views of a haoule in charge of their team...... love the humor of this film.....I think it is one of best films by Taika......I only hope he gives us MORE films into his father's culture along with the humor that Taika apparently has......he is a national treasure to the world.....

I just saw a show on Create/PBS featuring Carrie Morey...owner of "Callie's Hot Little Biscuit" in South Carolina......would LOVE to see her on Colbert and HIS review of her southern biscuits.......they look delicious (I DO love a good biscuit and I'm from Colorado).......and hear HOW he liked to eat them (and WITH what on top of the biscuit) as a kid!
