Probably Taapsee Pannu's finest performance. It tugs your heart. Brilliant screenplay, brilliant dialogues and brilliant support cast. People here are saying it's just one slap, but underneath that one slap was selfishness of husband, ignorance towards her needs, assumption that he could do these things with his wife and its kinda acceptable, 'Ho jata hai'. It only worsened from there when he gave those justifications, petitions. Probably one of tbe finest movies of Indian cinema. Connoisseur's special. PS: I do think character arc for lawyer could have been better.

IDK why I watched this so late in 2021, but woahhhhh! The ending is one of the best in movies (Hollywood & Bollywood) combined. It's like the movie is a train chugging along at a good pace, but in the climax, it attaches a booster to itself and becomes a rocket, and shoots off! Blows you away completely! And also Kolkata is a charming city. My favorite nugget was Satyoki's tram ride and his mom calling him every night as he returns home.
