First of all the guest chefs, with the exception of Michael Simon and Jose Garces, have been good but not great. Second the guest judges have gone from okay to truly mediocre. And can Brooke Williamson be any more smug and self-satisfied? Her constant reference to her fellow chefs as “the Titans” is just irritating. Finally, every guest chef clearly chooses the chefs with which they will compete in the order of who they think is good. This whole process seems to be more than demeaning. I love Bobby Flay, Top Chef, Iron Chef —- all of them. But I am not a fan of what promised on paper to be a very good show.
