Hell no. I was bored so gave it a go but right off the bat it had none of the usual character development nor the whole “everything starts idealic then turns increasingly terrifying” that is the premise for most decent horror movies. Loads of goo on everything, for no apparent reason. **SPOILERS** A slightly annoying dog that nonetheless had the most interesting personality and was probably the best actor, who got killed off unnecessarily. More goo on walls. Mystery seductress who gets the guy in seconds flat - no resistance. Turns psycho. Loads of drawn out scenes of man walking down corridors, looking in rooms, discovering more boring empty rooms. Honestly, no suspense. I had to skip ahead through so many wasted scenes. Que yet more goo on walls and oozing out of various light fixtures. The story behind the house was the only interesting element and they did almost nothing with it. Had some gore and decent effects there - gross out moments. But mostly they didn’t make sense and looked kinda tacky. It wasn’t scary, just a bit off and disturbing plot wise with very unlikable characters all round. Even the vengeful spirit was more likeable than the main guy but still seemed to kill even the good people so made no sense either. What was her story? Why was she killed? Who was the child spirit with the mouth on the top of her head at the end? Why did she have a mouth for a head actually? Who knows. No-one apparently. If you have any intelligence and like a horror movie with suspense and some resemblance of an interesting plot, this ain’t it! Boring - don’t waste your time!
