The Disenchanted

I’m not sure what movie previous posters are watching, but we can’t be watching the same identically named movie. The structure is extremely poor, with over-dramatic acting, cliched and predictable plot and almost laughable ‘flashbacks from Nam’ by the actors, poorly established characters, confused plot twists, inappropriately timed dubbed-over music and editing and ‘loud Americans save the world’ mentality. Altogether hoping it would get better but sorely, grossly disappointed with this cringeworthy mess of a film. Think Tropic Thunder, but instead the cast appear to be trying to act seriously. This is not a war movie or an artwork, but a B-grade quasi action movie with gaudy, intertwined aspects of drama, awkward tearful scenes, cliched romance and bad acting thrown in. Worth noting but not discussing is the head shaking political diatribe of current day instability peppered throughout the movie and the directors obvious political slant. Don’t believe me, just watch half of it and move on. I would not recommend paying to see it.🤦🏻‍♂️ Confused. 1/10.
