One of the hardest things to do in this world is to challenge traditional views and expectations. The Bombhaat team decided to approach this challenge with fervor, and delivered a new, fun, cute experience for audiences of all ages. Sci-Fi is not a widely explored genre in the Telugu movie industry because pulling it off requires great risk, which many are not willing to take. Despite being a relatively smaller cast, and operating on a much lower budget, the Bombhaat team took a leap of faith to bring the Telugu audience something modern and interesting, and they deserve much more credit than they are being given for that.
Sai Sushanth Reddy and Simran Choudhary looked great on the screen, and for the roles they were given, I felt that their acting was spot on. The chemistry between Chandini Chowdary and Sushant was also very realistic and absolutely adorable in some scenes, providing a lot of laughter and light-hearted enjoyment. The introduction of Maya was incredibly dope, heightened by the epic background score, and I wish I could have seen her in Robo action more. The ideas and vision were definitely there, and the Bombhaat team delivered to the best of their abilities, no doubt about it. Personally, I felt that some scenes were a bit rushed through, and the connections between them were a little weak, so it left more to be desired. I was also looking for more plot development, but I think Bombhaat’s goal was to touch a bit of everything, rather than to delve deep into a specific genre of love, sci-fi, action, etc. This goes back to my statement that Bombhaat has a lot of unexplored concepts that audiences should view with an open mind, and not compare to the typical Telugu movies.
Overall, the acting, screenplay, directing, music, everything was exciting to watch, and I definitely recommend this movie to those who have an interest in comedy, and a desire for something new.
