The first two seasons were good, but the writers really failed T'Pol in placing her in a relationship with Trip Tucker of all people. The most emotionally unbridled person on the ship who whines his way throughout the entire series. The relationship was forced, the old Hollywood trope of a leading lady "needing" a love interest. The writers obviously wanted her to be Data in a quest to be more human whether she liked it or not (the captain and others were constantly peer pressuring her to be more human and loosen up). The character is Vulcan. She had no Pinocchio syndrome like Data. The writers tried the CW route instead of staying true to character.
