Fell asleep twice trying to watch this borefest. The five star reviews on here are obviously shills/fake as NOTHING happens in first 40 minutes. The whole thing feels put on and MBB was not right for this role. Avoid. I’d give a higher rating to watching paint dry.

While its great seeing a deaf character get the spotlight, I feel like 5 episodes was not enough to give Maya (Echo) time to shine, and as a result the payoff in the final episode fell flat and didn’t have the desired effect. Apart from that was an ok watch.

This is a hard read. Have been reading King since childhood and this is the first that has made me not want to finish. 62 pages in and the endless pandemic, left-wing politics and now cop white on black violence has made me want to put it in the bin. I read his books for the escapism, not to be constantly reminded of that stuff and lectured to. Only keeping it as it was an anniversary gift from the partner. The covid reference on the back should’ve been the first give away. May have lost a lifelong fan with this one King. Will be way more cautious in the future.
