Dani Seba Jolly

I think this version is below the 1990’s one. I thought the rivalry between Jo and Amy was more explored in this version which I enjoyed. However, some of the actors were not the right choices for the characters, such as Laura Dern or Timotee Chamalet. There’s also a seven year time line but yet the characters remain the same, which is nor great for a coming of age story. It felt awkward seeing Amy refer to feminism, especially being the sister that in the original story is the most shallow and money driven.

This is the perfect movie to watch on a Friday night and just relax. It has some extremely funny scenes and some good acting as well. Adam Sandler really stands out, his character is quite different from his usual as he also shows a sensible/dramatic side which I thought it was great.

I didn’t enjoy the movie, most of the characters are going through midlife crisis which is clear through the whole movie but not explored in its whole potential. It is not a comedy even though there are some funny moments and it is not a drama either. Didn’t understand Tina Fey’s character...
