I won’t repeat the story, accept to say it is not about the pretty convoluted and unbelievable mystery it presents as, it’s about what is beneath the surface. They arrive to a quintessentially , cliche of an Irish town. It’s the story we want. The story we tell ourselves is true. It’s all about who are we? We are the stories we think are true, the stories we tell about ourselves. What happens when that story unravels and we are not who we thought we were. Can we learn to see things differently and learn to tell a different story about ourselves, going forward. I loved the quirkiness and the humor that sort of lightens a pretty dark story. Sure, not perfect. But overall, really so much better than Only Murders in the Building in that it takes on much more serious themes and story telling. Loved it.
