Allegory and symbolism were something I haven’t seen in film as of late. I am not familiar with Korean culture ergo I didn’t quite get the water thing, for lack of better terminology. Generally water is cleansing and spiritually a good thing. But not always. Example Noah’s ark, parting of the Red Sea etc. So I see the water symbol as both a representation of both good and not so good. Throw me a bone. It’s been a while since I’ve viewed a film of such great depth.
