Michael Faulkner

After having seen the original animated version of Mulan I was pleasantly surprised with how well this movie was done. The attention to detail from the first movie yet adapted to be with real people was beautiful. There was nothing cheesy about it and I thought the director did a phenomenal job. At the end when the young girls saw Mulan coming back home to the village and the awe in their eyes was one of the best moments in my opinion. She was their hero and that representation for any culture on film is major. I throughly enjoyed watching this as it was on my list of movies I had wanted to see and I finally got around to doing so. Well done! 🙂
