If you played the games, you'll feel pretty mixed about the movie. The plot, is nothing like the games, far from it in fact. But it has scenes and details those who played the games will appreciate. Like the brief appearance of Ashford Twins, the zombie turning his head while eating and such. I did go and watch the movie with a friend of mine who has no idea about resident evil, not the movies nor the games. He did not enjoy it, at all. The movie has an excessive amount of jumpscares that's not even scary, and the plot lacks content. By the time the movie ends you feel like it's just getting started. There are no action scenes, hardly any. The old Resident Evil movies, although has a jank story, the special effects and fighting made them watchable, not this one. In general: The movie is just a pile of easter eggs that either pleases or offends the fans of Resident Evil games by Capcom. If the audience is a total stranger to Resident Evil, it is a bad movie.
