I never give my reviews on a movie but I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It didn't hold your hand. A lot of people complained that they didn't understand why the war started. Um hello it was said when Sammy was proposing questions to Joe about the question he would pose to the president if given the chance. Apparently trying to interview the president at all is a suicide mission. And no wonder. No president has ever had three terms since FDR, for good reason. It's two terms only now, so he was probably forcibly holding onto power (ie airstrikes on us civilians who probably opposed this a la Putin-esque of taking control and not letting go) The only thing not believable was California and Texas seeing eye to eye but maybe the President trying to take over possibly in a permanent way made them unsteady allies in this fight. It had all the post-apocalyptic tropes of course. Cars on the highways abandoned, lawlessness etc. My only true critism is Joe is a little bit of a creep hitting on a girl who looks 14 (she's 23 in the movie, 26 in real life) but I legit thought that was a minor.
