I have a high end desktop and the game is laughably simple and gets boring quickly. The worlds are small and constrained. There is little freedom and the novelty of watching the Sims interact and multitask fades quickly and the game becomes tedious instead of immersive like the older titles. I feel limited with the base game and do not intend to spend hundreds of dollars on a more enjoyable experience through the purchase of DLCs. I think the Sims 3 and 2 were actually a lot better than this installment. Perhaps another developer will pick up the dropped torch that is the life simulation genre as Cities: Skylines did with the SimCity franchise.
