Subtle acting by Hawke. His connection with the baby is gentle and the baby is very comfortable with him. Its nice to see a portrayal of a non violent parolee. The arc of his reintroduction to society having been in a deep freeze from all cultural technology updates makes you realize the challenge of an inmate released to a world they have never known but are expected to succeed in.
