@Serena Campbell, I agree with everything you said... But I'd like to add one more nonsensical scene... When Brad Pitt returns from his short trip, Susan says "I wish you could have known my father". First of all how does she know her father is gone/dead? And why is she completely unconcerned with his demise/disappearance?
