Maple Syrup

I was really getting into the movie Orion and the Dark, enjoying the story and feeling invested, until the scene where Orion and his daughter appeared. At first, I thought it might be a childhood memory of Orion's, but then his daughter became part of the story, and I was left wondering what was going on. Honestly, I think the movie would have been better without the daughter. Sorry for the spoiler talk!
