I would say an opportunity lost. Movie had so much potential to do better than Forrest Gump and at certain moments it did too, but it could have done way much better.
Although, it would have been better to release this movie directly on OTTs rather than hitting the big screens. We are not in a age where people want to see feel-good, heart-warming, humanity-promoting movies. People just want to have senseless, brainless, over-the-top, religion based action flicks.
Coming back to the movie, the best thing about this movie is Aamir Khan's acting. He got into the character perfectly, and I would say people who are comparing it with PK or Dhoom3's characters are absolutely wrong. Some scenes were stretched out. Mona Singh was good in her limited screen time. Chaitanya Akkikeni was good and his scenes with Aamir Khan were totally hilarious and entertaining. Kareena Kapoor was okay. Overall its one-time watchable, two-times just for Aamir Khan.
My Rating 3.5/5.
