If you know nothing about the real War of the Worlds this show will probably help pass some covid lockdown time. Otherwise it will either bore or infuriate you to death. The first 2 episodes started to build to something. It actually seemed like the series might have something, then the whole thing crashed and burned worse than Arsenal's 2021 EPL campaign. It's like the entire cast gave up from episode 3 onwards, probably when they saw how poor the upcoming episodes were scripted. It's a terrible insult to the original story. "War of the Worlds" apparently means 20 vs 20 people with machine guns. It's like making a Harry Potter series and deciding to exclude all the wands and potions. No tripods, no red weed and no Nathaniel no, there must be something better to watch.
