Captures the joy of being in a music project really well including the close bond you develop with the people you play with. Characters are endearing. Doesn’t get bogged down in love stories or action sequences and just focuses on the protagonists and their music. Great slice of life sort of Anime if you’re into those. I’ve watched through the entire series several times.

Story is everything you want out of a gritty, post capitalism, post human hellscape. There are bugs still. They haven’t ruined the experience though. Voice acting is better than most games I’ve played. The depth of the world lore is good. If you’re looking for a perfect game, you’ll never be happy regardless. What this is, is a fantastic start. I’m sure that there will be fixes. But when you’ve invested as much as the developer has and you have fans money already, you just can’t hold it longer as much as it probably would have made for a more positive initial experience. This is precisely what I wanted out of it though considering I used to play the table top in the 90s. Gritty, dark, philosophical, political, and ultimately very human.
