I have watched all four seasons of last kingdom.Whole story is based on Bernard Cornwell’s novel series The Sexon Stories. An excellent series all the characters have played their role very well from the lead role down to small role. Season 4 is jut awesome.There are new story lines. Season 3 overtaken by Netflix was a little bit anticipated(death of Alfred) if you have watched previous 2 seasons(BBC) but summing up a very good historical drama. if you are watching it from UK side then Uthred son of Uthred lord of bebbanburg will become your hero. Alexander Doetsch has nailed it!!
