Read the book. Don't watch the movie. The movie could have taken the perspective of the author in the time he wrote it. Computers didn't exist and books were the only way to communicate ideas. Instead, they take the Hollywood approach and make it the perspective of what we think the future holds and try to make the book idea work. Or go out and show how social media distorts history and the written word can't be changed or post dated. Either way, the movie isn't the book.
