The graphics are excellent! That's it...honestly!
The plot is convoluted, disjointed, and in some instances; inconsistent. If you're playing this as a standalone game and can enjoy a story without feeling any sense of emotion with the characters therein, you may derive some enjoyment out of this game for what it offers on its own.
If you're a fan of this franchise and have followed the story from the first game, you may find it disappointing. The story leaves a lot to be desired in terms of the flow of the storyline. The flashback sequences are not paced constructively and new characters are shoehorned in a manner that the player barely has a chance to invest in their stories. There is a lot going on and the jumping of character viewpoints is jarring to the point that it can be frustrating.
That being said, this game does offer visuals and gameplay mechanics which are breathtaking but this by itself is not sufficient to redeem this lacklustre sequel.
