I loved the books, and I was drawn in by this interpretation. I think the characters of Mrs Coulter and Lyra were particularly well played. The series veered from the source material in places, but I think it was done well overall. I don’t agree with the negative reviews. My partner and watched all three seasons in practically one sitting over Christmas holiday and it was enjoyable for both of us. Me having read the books, and he not.
