If you did not see the original you would enjoy this film. Can’t help compare this to the original. Original gets 4 stars, this gets 3. Rapace mesmerizing, Mara good. Craig as vulnerable needing Lizbeth hard to see in his version of Lundquist (Bond mindset).

Scary at the theatre. Part where patron attacked from behind through the backrest had viewers turning around. Acting C, plot B, Gore A.

Robertson exceptional in this movie. First of it’s kind to use brain boost in a contemporary setting.

Watched first episode. Hooked me to watch the rest. Costuming and sets a bit like Shadow and Bone.

Tried to do too much, stole ideas from other sci-fi pictures, made absurd scientific approach. Other than the bond between young Zi and Kong the plot, story development, and end were bad. Machine takeover, vast inner earth exploration, Kong’s ax gets power like Thor’s hammer, elites lasting thru devastation have been done before and poorly used here. If you want to see good animation in the Kong/Godzilla fights watch it, otherwise don’t waste your time.
