Honestly, before I entered the theatres I was told that this movie is not as good as Kimi no Nawa but at exiting the theatre, I couldn't disagree more. Kimi no Nawa was a masterpiece by Makoto Shinkai with a well built up story and an amazing execution. On the other hand, Tenki no ko is just AMAZING. The movie really blew my mind. I would say it wouldn't be right to compare the two films as both are different in their own way. The way Makoto Shinkai directed this movie is truly OUTSTANDING! This movie will make you laugh, cry, feel sad, happy, excited all in one. Also, Radwimps did an excellent job on the songs like they did in kimi no nawa. Really uplifting and joyous songs which fit the scene perfectly. The only sad thing is that now I'll have to wait for a long time before watching another one of his movies. HATS OFF to Makato Shinkai ( literally a legend). This was the first anime film released in my country and at the end of the movie it received a standing ovation from everyone. I would recommend EVERYONE to watch this movie as it will be a totally unique experience.
