Waited for months for this movie, and thought I was gonna absolutely love it but honestly its very very disappointing. The movie tried to send so many messages that were never executed fully. There were many cringe worthy scenes that I think is meant to be funny but it's super try hard that it was frankly, very lame (ie: the scene where barbie is being chased by will farell and his men, and he even ran pass her and still couldnt catch her, and the scene where they slow waved for no reason) No one in the cinema laughed at said scenes. The main msg that the movie was trying to send was that Ken wasn't appreciated and acknowledged by barbie in her world, he went to the real world and felt appreciated and seen,so he tried to express how he feels to barbie and instead of apologising and sharing her world with him she convinces all the other barbies to trick and lie to all the ken's so they can take control of barbie world again. I am a girl and I'm all for women empowerment but this does nothing to promote it, it encourage hate and deceit. Men are not evil, and hate is not the answer to promoting equality. This is the first Google review I left for a movie cos it's that bad unfortunately. And that's coming from someone who always dreamt of owning a barbie doll
