Awful stars aligned,
No redeeming grace in sight,
Two hours of sheer pain.
Simply awful. No redeeming qualities. Acting was awful. Writing was awful. Special effects were awful. I get that it’s not supposed to be overly realistic, but it was very hard to get through the two hours of badness.
It pains me to write a review this harsh, but there's no sugarcoating it—this film is simply awful. From the moment the opening credits rolled, it became clear that there were no redeeming qualities to be found in this cinematic disaster. The acting was painfully subpar, leaving me wondering how such talented actors got involved in this project.
The writing was equally terrible, with a plot that felt like it was cobbled together from the clichés of every action movie ever made. The dialogue was cringe-worthy, and the attempts at humor fell flat. It was as if the scriptwriters had never seen a good action movie before.
Special effects, typically the saving grace of such films, were shockingly bad. Explosions looked like something out of a low-budget '00 action flick, and the CGI left much to be desired. It's not that I expect every action film to be hyper-realistic, but this level of mediocrity was hard to stomach.
Gal Gadot, whom many admire as Wonder Woman, attempted to emulate Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt from the Mission Impossible series. However, her portrayal was so unrealistic that it was cringe-inducing. It's one thing to take inspiration from a legendary character, but it's another to mimic them in a way that feels forced and awkward.
In the end, the two hours spent enduring this film felt like a never-ending journey through the depths of cinematic awfulness. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this disaster. There are plenty of other action movies out there that are far more worth your time.
