McFarland, the mother of Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Anthony McFarland Jr. has become a published author in hopes of raising money to support programs and scholarships for the non-profit organization, All Challenges Mastered, Inc. A few years ago, a local youth football team lost one of their teammates due to gun violence. In an effort to help with the healing process, Anthony McFarland Jr. purchased a van for the team so that they would have transportation. He vowed that if he ever made it to the NFL, he would continue to give back and address the needs of community youth. While attending the University of Maryland, his mother, T.C. McFarland, established the non-profit organization, All Challenges Mastered, Inc. Two of the team members from that community football youth group completed the “Own Our Home” Character Development program that focuses on social emotional learning (mind, body and spirit), After completing the program, they applied, and were accepted to Bishop McNamara High School. They currently attend Bishop McNamara High School on full academic scholarships. All Challenges Mastered, Inc. is an organization with a profound focus on spiritually elevating underserved youth.
