Tried making a legit review but google is having problems with it. Long story short, don’t pay full price for this game. I expected a lot out of square Enix and they didn’t deliver with their wannabe game of thrones story, Devil may cry dumbed down combat, and the dumpster fire it is overall. The cutscenes were the only appealing thing but besides that, this game is best avoided. If you were given this to play and not the name, you wouldn’t have guessed it was final fantasy, because it’s not. They’re trying to make it something they can’t. This is far from the final fantasy games I highly enjoy and had high expectations with square Enix’s “twenty years” of making games. This is a title I’m ashamed in paying more than full price for, I preordered it since last preordering legend of Zelda: a link between worlds around ten years ago. I’m done preordering games and I’ve only preordered three games my whole life. Legend of Zelda, final fantasy 7 Re , and now this dumpster fire. I expected much much more out from this. I played this game for 114 hours to the end and I wish I had returned this game from the first few hours of playing. If you’ve played the first few hours or even the demo, you’ve practically been shown how the WHOLE game is going to pan out. I should’ve quit at the demo myself before ordering the game as I was very put off by the demo. Majority of the five star reviews I’ve read seem to come from “critics” who only played the game for a few hours or are completely fake with their generic copy and paste reviews I can find from other games.
