SPOILER ALERT. It started out so cute and creative and funny. I really enjoyed it. The first hint of ugliness was a little girl smashing her baby doll. Then it veered into misandry. Are we really to believe that real women would be like Barbie if they weren’t oppressed by men and that the best a man can be is impotent, like Ken? When the real woman explains that women have to be fake and manipulate men to become empowered, I tuned out. I only watched to the end in the hope of a shift to a more thoughtful ending…that never came. I don’t see all men as selfish lug heads, and I don’t see women as fundamentally superior. I am female, by the way. That does seem worth mentioning.
