From what i noticed the bad reviews seem to come from a place of expectancy and bias. the film and its story were brilliant and different but often people unqualified in their opinions seem to dismiss the premise in favour of trolling the film to feeg off their own negativity

The movie itself had potential that was instantly ruined with bad comedy attempts and lazy acting from both Brie Larson and Iman Vellani. They were trying way too hard to throw in as many fake social topics as they could, these movies aren't supposed to be a platform for some persons politician or personal beliefs. But that's just marvel now I guess, constantly pumping out movies with no substance, just BS social issues behind CGI

Basically if you give this anything under 4 stars it just shows you're either too uncultured or too simple to understand the movie for what it is, a lot of opinions laid out here as if they're experts in film too, at the end if the day it's the opinion of the average person, the average person is of relatively low intellect. Those reviews can't be considered credible. But like all films that stand outside the norm, it's casted aside by the norm.

I give it 5 stars for having humour above the level an American can understand, I love that new Zealand humour was going right over their heads, it was like it was made for new Zealanders
