This is an interesting film with an interesting storyline. Normally people coming from orthodox Jewish community or any conservative community live in the closet but in this case it's different. Everyone in the community knows about Elsi's desires but still married her off a man because that's what is accepted. To them it was a disease but in the end it becomes clear to Dovid. Ronit going back home didn't awaken anything, it was intentional, she wanted in to happen. Ronit rebelled against the orthodox Jewish family, she chose her freedom, and that's what Elsi asked from Dovid, her husband, freedom for herself and the unborn baby. Elsi in the end she shut Dovid off, that it's not about Ronit, it's who she is, a woman born attracted to same sex.
