I did enjoy the show as a whole, however I may be in the minority when I say although I enjoyed the singing of the young girl playing Annie, and I'm sure she has a bright future, I did not think there was much chemistry between her and Harry Connick's character of Warbucks. There was no real build-up of believable affection between the two and I did not see the complete sweet and lovable side to the character that I was hoping for. For me personally, her portrayal of Annie was not my favorite. And that is my opinion completly based on how the character was played and nothing else.Though I love Taraji that character portrayal was so over-the-top that half the time I couldn't understand what she was saying. I thought Nicole's "Grace" was outstanding as were Megan Hilty, the children and supporting cast and I did enjoy the choreography. Perhaps many will find fault with my thoughts, and maybe I'm being picky as I have been a Director of this show in the past, but we are all respectfully entitled to our opinions with no intended malice.
